Lemons…
Life is throwing me a lemon…a pretty freaking sour lemon…
So I’m wondering if I’ll eventually have lemonade…or shots…
worried is an understatement.
I really, really like this one, but it didn’t seem to want to photograph very well. I hope you like it.

My newest painting. I worked on it this morning, and I’m not sure what I feel about it. It is still wet in the picture which is the reason for the shine and slight warp. I think I’ll work on some drawings for the rest of the day. Color hurts my brain.
Looks like it could be a painting of mine. I probably could make it into something.

All New
There are so many new things going on right now and its all really exciting, but extremely stressful. I’ve started a new job. I still work at the same place (a craft store) but they have created a new position that allows me to be more in control with events, classes, demonstrations, and the overall look of the store. I’ve been in the position for a few short weeks and already our class sign-up has gone up considerably. Its fun and creative, but I’m learning a lot on my own, and still have a crap load of rules to follow. The incoming manager is in the middle of training, but so far I think she is going to do a good job, but only time will tell.
Anyway, in the next week I plan to join the South Mississippi Art Association. It is really long over due anyway. I hope on my weekends off I can join in on more of the art walks or any event I’m eligible for.
I’ve started three drawings, and one painting. They are all sitting around my crafting area waiting to be finished. I’m off tomorrow and after a trip downtown to see some drawings by JJ Foley, I’ll try to finish them. Plus I have three drawings to begin for the Alumni Show at USM this fall.
For now its shower time, then I’ll get into the kitchen and start a big dinner for some friends that are coming over tonight.
Yesterday I was working on creating a digital portfolio, and since I was snapping photos I decided to take a few of some of my little sketches in ink, pastel, and washes.
